Silent Silkie observed the world around her. She grabbed a brew, and spoke to her pal, the Unleashed Urchin.
She noticed the injustices, the isolation and the inner frustrations of the voiceless ones.
She knew she had to find the strength to listen to her whispering soul, which was no longer whispering but shouting: “Pick up that pen or scrubby paintbrush and communicate your lived experience before it is too late”.
Suddenly she got a sense of how the inner ecology and her kinasthetic nature impacted her on a daily basis. She remembered all the times that as a child, teenager or younger adult she had felt edgy, off kilter, or demeaned for her sensitivity. This can mar the ability to trust the self for a lifetime, if this self imposed exile isn’t exchanged for liberty.
And no element of life is left unaffected; relationships, careers, legacy thinking, parenting to name but a few examples.
Get it right in the first instance by being a reflective, empathic parent, who doesn’t judge, yet goes on a journey, without a manual, and explores possibilities.
Break the cycle without delay. Future generations will bless you for it.
